Level Editor+Photoshop Thoughts

Post by Osvir »

Hi!

Been working a bit on a dungeon on pen & paper, done the outlines in the Editor (no scripts, monsters or triggers yet) and now I kind of feel I want to paint it. Working on a wall_set~

Wondering if there is some easier way to throw the textures straight into the editor.

What I am envisioning:
A. Click-and-drag from desktop folder into Editor. Adds to the list (copy+pastes itself where it needs to be in the "assets"). Right-Click and "Connect" the texture to Prop/Model in the Editor. Now you could cycle the Prop (Right-Click) which texture you want.

B. Click-and-drag from the desktop to the Prop in the Editor list and it "Connects" directly.

John Wordsworth may have something close to it. He had a small project going for a gui method of defining custom assets.
