Love the game, hate the puzzles. Recommend a mod?

Hi. Got to level 3 in the original game and realized this is not for me. Good game, though, and I'd love to play some more with any mods that are less about timing following portals around and "setting, not throwing, items onto pressure plates, or else you won't make the very precise sequence of steps in time"...
So, recommendations? Popular mods/dungeons?

Are you wanting to just fight? There a fight challenge mod on the Nexus, but you are probably gonna be hard pressed to find a mod that doesn't have puzzles as its kinda what the gist of dungeon crawling is IMHO.

He means straight forward puzzles that require less intense thinking than the avg. DC.
There have got to be more than a few combat centric mods out there. no checkered rooms for this man. He wants alcoves that ask for items like a statue needing a sword or a red key for the red door.

there is no way to take the puzzles out of the main game other than having a walkthrough open next to you. You might try the new mod that randomly generates dungeons, not much puzzles possible with that

Thanks! Hadn't thought of that, but did see the mod somewhere. I'll check it out. Cheers all.

What mod is that, Komag? I came here looking for puzzle-free dungeons, and when I realized how flexible this game is thanks to its use of lua, I started brainstorming methods of designing a mod that just exactly that. I was starting to think floor layouts couldn't be done dynamically, but I've spent all of a couple hours looking into the many things mods can do in this game, so I'd love to see how this mod pulls it off.

It is just very clever scripting, with many safeguards and redundancies. A lot of hard work to get this going, but he's still improving it daily.

What is the game without the puzzles? (for me, the rest was intermission.

)
A walkthrough is perhaps the best anti-puzzle solution.

I was mostly hoping for story, killing monsters and a deep character system. Oh well, still a good game.
