[Windows] Installed Fine but Won't Start

Post by KyloKerby »

Hello,

I bought LoG on the Steam holiday sale and installed it immediately. However, despite trying to run it on two different machines, it still won't play. It will give me a "preparing to launch" box then nothing happens - not even an error message.

I've made sure I have the latest DirectX and C++ but no dice. And yes, I've restarted my computer.

Any helpful hints/wisdom on this one? I'd really appreciate it.

Try the DirectX and C++ redistributable installer delivered with LoG inside their Steam directory.
In case you did check the Almost Human -> LoG folder inside your "My Documents" for an error.log file.

Same Problem here, running Windows 8 Pro. Installing the DirectX and VCRedist did the trick, thank you very much! :D

Aye, it seems the LoG installer from Steam has some problems when it's run on Win8; there are already reports about that here.
Perhaps setting the Steam client to Win7 compatibility is enough to fix this.
