Level 3 Pillars of Light difficulty

I can't seem to find the golden key for the door whose locking mechanism is on a wall adjacent and perpendicular to the door. I realize it falls from the spiders you kill that appear after picking up a note/pushing levers/pressing buttons/etc. I killed them all, but I can't seem to find the key I've scoured the area with no luck. Tripled check my inventories and containers in my inventories. Is there a cheat command to add a golden key into your inventory? If so how do you do it? Any other suggestions? Frustrated. Thanks much.

The golden key is optional but provides some possibly useful treasure.

The key may be found on a creepy crawler in the middle northern section of the map. You may have already killed it, so the key could be lying around on the ground somewhere.
