Hey, AH: LoG2 Request! :)

How great would it be to have a co-operative multiplayer option, where each player could either take over one character (for 4 players) or two (for two player)? Supporting both the LoG2 game plus mods, of course. :)

I think this concept needs to be greatly explored if it's going to be enjoyed when playing.
We all want to be the movement guy.

If anything I would picture multiplayer grimrock would be on a server, everyone has their own "party" Whether than means one player or four is an interesting concept.

I think it would be a fantastic way to to all the next editor to be repurposed to making an online graphical "tabletop" experience

I put it in quotations because with the limitations of the movement system, it's in the best effort to design a new system of play than any existing table top rpgs
-By modders that is.

No reason why we (4 players) couldn't each control one person and work together as a team in battles. The mods would be amazing!

Let's translate this request to more realistic proportions. AH, if you want to see multiplayer in LoG2, please just integrate luasocket. It's a library that handles TCP and UDP sockets in Lua. Modders will do the rest :-)

In my humble opinion implementing multiplayer in LoG could be quite difficult but who knows what AH is capable of. Maybe by using a turn-based combat system but that would annoy a lot of people I assure you.

PS: Another afterthought. I am seeing that a lot of "LoG2 requests/suggestions" are appearing on separated threads. Some moderator should create an official "Post your LoG2 requests/suggestions here" thread.

That would probably be best. Because right now there is a lot of chaos. I think by now if they listened to half the requests even there would not be much left for them to make themselves.

Granted I'm not another complainer. Everyone is well meaning, and I'm sure they'll stumble on something that gives them a good idea. All the easier if there is a neat place to find them.

P.S. AH What I want is for the abominations to be darker and more frightening. ;)

My apologies. I was posting on a Kindle Fire, which is not the greatest for browsing and posting...did a quick check but didn't see anything.

Well there is. Everyone wants to be the guy who moves and clicks the secrets.
And as was mentioned, if it's real time it'll be even harder if the movement guy strafes as you're attacking and causes you to miss because of it.

Nah, it's called a learning curve, and teamwork. :)

As for secrets, I could care less if you click them or someone else does, so I'm not sure that will be an issue. Most players of co-op games have already played the single player game first, anyway (in my experience), so once you've discovered the secrets, they're not a big deal anymore. As for who gets gear, other games have tagged extra items to only show up in multiplayer, so this could certainly be possible with LoG2...that would ensure there is plenty to go around.
