What I would like from LOG2

Hello
Just played thought wine basement. And I enjoyed it more then the real game. I was trying to work out why and now I think I know. Plus this got me thinking what I would like from LOG 2. He's my idea I know its not going to happen but still.
I think LOG 2 should be made up of 4 or 5 short storys and not just one game. These storys could have a different story lines but all come back to a common over all story. You would have to play the first 4 storys out (in any order) before the party comes together for the last part the main game if you will.
On a game front this would work well I belive and would make LOG 2 different from any other game I have lots of ideas to how this can be done.
Like the first 4 storys are played out by just 1 character and the 4 meet at the gates of a dunagon before the final part.
It would give the game a whole new twist and build a close relationship with each character before the mian game starts. It's better then just picking 4 people a random right ?
Just a idea if you want to hear more just ask. Dont what to bore you all hear
Thanks
Gimpy

No it's not because the game would then focus on pre-defined characters. Without any choice on names, races, classes, stats and skills once you have finished the game you'll hardly play it ever again when you already know all the stories.

To build a relationship something on a character needs to be pre-defined, be it name, sex, race, class, stats, skills, whatever. That's how story-focused games work.

I'd like to see outdoor environments. Maybe something like a forest with ravines and perhaps bridges to cross them. Wouldn't hurt if one of those Forest Ogres were guarding one of those bridges. Maybe there could be big rocks serving as borders with cool stuff visible beyond them, like a tower or whatnot.

To build a relationship something on a character needs to be pre-defined, be it name, sex, race, class, stats, skills, whatever. That's how story-focused games work.
With Grimrocks ability to get that info from the character it is not necessary to have all that predefined.
The story yes, but with enough effort, the other stuff can be called using the various getName(), getRace() etc, allowing the player to create the party.
I know exactly what the OP is talking about in the Wine Merchants Basement mod. It is very story driven with predefined charaters. The mod I am working on is also very story driven, but I explicitly want the player to create or import their own party. I will give them some guidelines to follow to derive the most enjoyment from it, but they are free to design their party at will.

I'd like a model I could put equipment on, from a modding perspective being able to put a different helm onto a skeleton model, or change his shield model quickly would be great. Quick and easy custom monsters or npc's
On the story thing, I do find I enjoy playing 4 small dungeons rather than say one huge one, so I can see what you're saying there, but for the story to be characther driven you need to put words and personalities onto the players custom characther, You may not like the personalities they given; better if the story is driven by a mystery, where the player is engaged by finding out what has happened/ or is going to happen next
