Hi, when I try publish to workshop in editor, editor crash after publish confirmation with following error
Runtime Error !
C:...path to grimrock.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact applications support team.
I tried to install last C++ runtime library, but it didnt help. I do not have any problems with game or editing itself, just with this. I have win7 and quite good computer. Also sometimes when I am editing there appears error about not enough memory in computer, which is quite weird I have 2Gb RAM and good graphic card (Ati Radeon 5700)
any clues ?

A crash after publish confirmation sounds somehow weird like those rare application crashes when they should simply quit.Drakkan wrote:Hi, when I try publish to workshop in editor, editor crash after publish confirmation with following error

btw: did the dungeon actually make it onto the workshop?
The only fail reason known to me is the upload being larger than 100 MB.

nope it did not make on workshop, it crash few seconds after begin to extraction it (so probably it is not even uploading there yet). My dungeon has about 250mb, could be this the problem ?Dr.Disaster wrote:A crash after publish confirmation sounds somehow weird like those rare application crashes when they should simply quit.Drakkan wrote:Hi, when I try publish to workshop in editor, editor crash after publish confirmation with following error

Ok I reinstaled windows and tried once again. Now it crash after half a minute with following error - failed publish to nexus - not enough memory
any ideas what can I do ? Which memory is it ? HD ? Ram ? virtual memory ? I do not have any processes on, 40GB free and 2gb ram, isnt that enough ? :/ dungeon has around 300mb size

Re: Cannot upload dungeon on steam
I'm pretty sure this error refers to the 100 MB limit of the steam workshop.
Now there may be one final straw: not enough combined memory (real + virtual). Beside my Win7 system I also have an older WinXP PC which still gets used now and then, including Steam and LoG. There i experienced a few LoG crashes on startup after i had added several larger dungeons. My guess is that LoG checks/opens every new dungeon file on first access so it hit the 2 GB RAM limit of my WinXP system. I could work around this by adding 1 GB of virtual memory (swapspace), so in case your editor also hits the RAM ceiling this could help you too.

Re: Cannot upload dungeon on steam
An easy way to reduce memory usage (temporarily) is to set Texture Resolution to Medium or even Low in options. Also Steam Workshop mods has a limit of 100 MB.
Hope this helps!

well if your running win 7 64 bit it might well be you run out of system memory (win 32 + max 3 gig mem usage/ win 7 64 bit handles about anything you can feed it) my win 7 takes up to 1.79 gig mem alone to run (with nuthing, or little running in background (8 gig system memory and still from time to time i keep running out of memory on certain projects good old tradition windows is and Always has been a system hogDrakkan wrote:Ok I reinstaled windows and tried once again.
