Applying natural looking skybox

After playing some of the mods available here featuring modded monsters, wallsets and even outdoor areas and weather I began thinking that my dungeon was a piece of cr*p (pardon my french). So I wanted to do something more ambitious. I downloaded this exterior mod
http://grimrock.nexusmods.com/mods/235/. But I can't seem to get the skybox to look natural. It's basicly a 9x9 tile box with cloud wallset.
I read somewhere on the forums that someone mentioned applying the skybox as a dome particle around the party, since I have no idea how to do that I turn to you guys, with your seemingly endless talents, could you explain to me how I would accomplish this?

This is actually really complex to do. I developped for LoTNR a script which can create quite decent exterior ambiances and such. See video here:
http://youtu.be/RyX7iUs9eFA
A lot of how it works is explained here:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4741&start=100#p56648.
It's usable, but there are still a few issues to fix with it before it's fully ready. However, between my involvement in the ORRR2, other projects and the fact that the upcoming LoG2 will have skyboxes "out-of-the-box", I unfortunately don't really have the time or motivation to continue working hours and hours on that to fix little bugs which could be fixed with 2-3 lines of code on AH's side...
I'd be happy to share all the source and assets if someone wants to take over and continue working on it or use it "as is". I'll make a pack in the next day or two and post it here.

yes very much do , even a release "as is" wil do fine , it wil Always suffice for a full 6x6 or 7x7 arena properly designed/build with some horizon obstructions, and would be a personal blessing for my own modding since my focus lies mostly on exterior stuf so , once more please do release that exterior goodness

Thanks for the reply, I made an effort last night to no avail. I think I'll have to go with something else or find some middle ground. I could change it to night time, I think it would be easier to make a semi-decent sky that way.

ce que veut dire les explications donner par les membres de cette merveilleuse comunauté sur certains sujets. Merci

Bonjour,
Bien sûr que je parle français! Je suis en train de rapatrier les fichiers, parce que je ne les avais pas sur mon disque dur. // I'm trying to get the files back as I didn't have them on my HD anymore.
As soon as I get the files I'll post it, don't worry.
