Level 5 Iron door

I picked up a scroll saying to take your time and rest in front of the dragon's gaze. I backtracked to earlier in the level were there seems to be a Chinese dragon like statue. I spent probably 60 seconds resting in front of it, no dice. Anyone figured this out? Maybe farther in the level?

There's another dragon statue later in the level, second spoiler for solution
You need to rest where their "gazes" intersect, treasure is a +5 evasion vest
