Hello, first of all good job on making the first game, i don't remember last time i had fun solving puzzles in a game :D

Now the only thing that put me off from the game is the amount of items that you can get.. This is very subjective because i just love having not knowing what i will get and getting that epic item with the stats i wanted!

I remember in the first game there was only one good orb for a wizard and it was for a fire wizard. As someone who prefers ice magic this was very disappointing.

Oh and getting items with no extra stats but only armor value at the middle of the game feels kinda lame, i know it needs to be a survival game but at least don't make gear feel so miserable!

I'm not sure if 100 more items will be enough, at least add 50 on top of that in form of a DLC at least :D

One thing I remember from the Ultima Underworld games was that a few pieces of gear spawned (or didn't) based on your starting skill set, and a few pieces had several possible spawn locations. This was used sparingly (which is a good thing), but just enough to make a per-playthrough difference - someone with Casting or Mana as their highest starting skill would get a Mani rune in their storeroom in UW2, for example, which let them cast spells to create food, heal, and use the "Bleed" spell on enemies.

A party-based game would need to check vs four skill lists instead of one, but I can't imagine it being too complicated to code. I don't know whether the LoG/LoG2 engine is built to handle that sort of check-based or randomized spawning (especially since it might need to populate areas that haven't been visited yet, and thus not initialized yet).

I did this in Master Quest, it checks all party member skills and only gives "useful" skill books at all the locations where those come into play (treasure locations and some iron door rooms)
