Hello everyone.
I'm stuck in 2 places on Level 5 and it seems to be a game issue vs my lack of doing it right and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what you did to fix it if you did.
The "trap door bridge" first.
I throw the switch down on one wall and then push the button on the other to get the trap doors moving (opening/closing). But no matter what timing I try, when I step on the first CLOSED trap door, I immediately fall through as if it wasn't even there.
Second is in the Deserted Hallway at the beginning:
The whole pull the switch, throw something on the pressure plate then get through the steel grate door and finally through the temporarily opened door. No matter my timing, by the time the steel jail-like gate is about half way open, the wood door that temporarily opens and is what we have to get through starts to shut. No matter how fast I've been, and I'm pretty fast, I can't get that steel grate door open fast enough to get to the open door before it starts to close.
Has anyone else had these issues?
Level 5 issues
Re: Level 5 issues
First thing to ask is if anyone in your party is overloaded. Overloaded PCs slow the party down, and in some instances, can make a puzzle impossible.hamiltonjh wrote:...
If overloaded, drop your gear in a box somewhere, and then try to solve it.

Both puzzles are timed, so you have to be quick.
In addition: make sure nobody carries too much / is slowed down by weight.
The path that appears is temporary at best so watch closely what happens, then adjust to it.
Prevent unnessecary turns or steps.
Have the item to "throw" onto the pressure plate on your mouse cursor right at the beginning.

There is no bridge here, at least nothing that deserves this description.hamiltonjh wrote:The "trap door bridge" first.

Reduce the number of keypresses to the absolute minimum.hamiltonjh wrote: Second is in the Deserted Hallway at the beginning:

Re: Level 5 issues
thank you for your input Dr Disaster and Isaac
No one is overloaded, I thought of that and looked. Everyone is green in the weight department. They're all also fully (or nearly full) fed. But, I will try to put some stuff down where I can retrieve it later when I try again.
The "bridge" reference was from a walkthrough I looked at and that's how that path of trap doors was described (and just to say, I dont play with the walkthru open and follow it as I play...this was the first time I looked at a walkthru for this game. I wanted to make sure I didnt miss something silly).
I try to keep the number of key presses to a minimum...I "practice" the sequence and count key strokes before making any attempt at doing it so I know how many strokes of what key to do to get from the beginning handle pull to the room I currently can't reach.
Thanks again for your response! It's much appreciated
