Damaging potions?

Post by MasterworkStone »

I just had a thought, will it be possible to make potions you can fight with? Like, making a battle alchemist build?
Possibly this is how you could make bombs? I found bombs to be more situational than useful in grimrock because of their limited availability, I always end up getting to the final dungeon with tons of bombs because I never used them, I'm one of those people who holds on to things because they might need them later.

It was confirmed that you can craft bombs now. I think that you will also need to craft gunpowder for firearms, but that's just a guess.
What price the world? What? That expensive? Then I'll take a small coke...

You could do this in LoG1. They already had bombs in the game [as you know]; Items could be defined as bombs and to look like virtually anything, and be assigned a spell... even be made into a spell*.
SpoilerShow
* (That spell throws a custom bomb.)

But you're speaking about modding, right? I think he's talking about the original campain.

Yeah. :( It would have to be mods unless they put it in the game.
But we don't know yet if scripts can be defined in the console ; might be that you can add mods to the main campaign.

I misread part of the OP, and took it for [mod] speculation instead of a gameplay question.
