Grimrock

So I bought Grimrock 2 last night straight from Almost Human like I did the first game a couple of years ago. I never redeemed the Steam key for it. This time around, I also have a Steam key I can redeem. However, I've always bought straight from Almost Human so they can avoid royalties and keep as much of the money possible for themselves.

My question, or, dilemma is--if I do redeem the Steam key, does that mean Almost Human must then pay royalties to Steam?

I don't dislike Steam. I do, however, like Almost Human and want them to keep making wonderful games for us.

No steam takes a cut for whatever gets sold through their store.
