lexiconary teleport puzzle

Any one able to help with how to move the teleporter. The button only moves the teleport in the room with the 3 pressure plates one way. I have searched all nearby corridors and the room for another button to alter the direction but to no avail. A hint would be most appreciated.

there is only 1 button

there is no way to throw obiect into teleport so it fall on plate?
think with portals
