what's your biggest damage hit?

I've seen folks post 850 on crits with good 2h weapons.

I just got an 863 on a crit with "Bane" on a flying eye from behind.

I'm betting some of you are batting over 1000?

977 now, on one of those flying eyeball squid things.

Well, I don't have bane or anything cool - so my highest hit thus far has been 127.

that's about what I get usually when a light weapon crits. are you using mostly light weapons?

hmm. IIRC, there is a really easy to get poleaxe in the pyramid, just lying on the floor, as you enter the second level (?). that's a decent 2h until you can manage the fight for the ancient claymore on the first level, or get yourself a great axe in the sewers/archives.

that's assuming you have someone that uses heavy 2h weps.

basically, the equipment available tells me that Barbarian heavy weapon specialist is by far and away the big hitter (might as well pick mino for the strength boost). Nothing else I've tried even comes close.

critical around 850 with that magical Claymore special attack

I haven't tested extensivly but i'm pretty sure the Scythe's special attack (critical x10) can beat anything.

yup, end game had my knight using that, and my barb using bane.

I replayed the fight on the top of the castle a few times.

one time it ended after the very first wave of summons. got two crits back to back for 900 and 877 each, then a light breeze in the form of a lightning bolt toppled him, and that was that.

btw for anyone wondering how to really take advantage of this, before any big fight, have your heavy weapon person quaff a rage potion and a speed potion.
