Absolutely loving the game, it blends everything I love about DM and EotB without making me wish it was more like one or the other. Also corrects a lot of things that were fiddly or annoying in both games! Above all, the dungeon is original, fascinating and challenging - after so many years of replaying the old games I'm finally able to enter a proper dungeon where I don't know what's around the next corner!

There's only one thing bothering me at the moment, and that's related to the control system. I really miss being able to switch between the dungeon and character screens with a single right mouse click. I know the right mouse button is used for a lot of things including looking around but it would enhance my playing experience if I was able to bring up the character sheets without having to either press a key, or move the mouse to click on a portrait.

Any other DM veterans find themselves right clicking all the time to bring up their inventory?

I think this is about the thin line that separates enjoying a new game and trying hard to wish a new game into being an old game.
Grimrock gives you virtually all the essentials that made old crawlers enjoyable. Asking for more, especially such trivial details, seems a big greedy.

It's a new game with a (pretty comfortable) control scheme, which takes exactly 30 minutes to get used to.

I'm a long time DM fan who feels "at home" in this game, so I find myself reaching for the old DM controls from time to time. I'd be very surprised if I was the only one. I think it would be nice if I could bind a single right mouse button click to open the inventory screen, that is all.

It isn't a flaw in the control system, which I agree is excellent and intuitive although I'm afraid I didn't time how long it took me to learn it, I suspect it was somewhat under 30 minutes. I'm not complaining, or expecting anyone to do anything about it. I'm certainly not directly asking for anything. Moreover, I started my post by stating that I do not wish this game was more like any other game. I'm merely submitting my thoughts and experiences from my first few hours of playing, into the general QA mishmash without hope or agenda. I'm sorry if you feel this exhibits greed or ingratitude.
