On my second play through I did a random group/race and ended up with 2 knights, 1 rogue, 1 farmer. I played through the entire game, finished castle nex and have 4 power stones. But, I can't get to the 5th shrine as I don't have any magic. Is there a way to get to the shrine without magic?

You need to be able to cast spells. You can cast spells with any class, you just have to wield a wand, although that requires at least 1 level of concentration skill.

Holy hell, I never knew that. I had the concentration to use the shield specials, but never realized anyone could use magic with a wand.

Have you tried using bombs? I know that in the last game a puzzle required to be hit with a fire bolt, if you didn't have that you could throw a fire bomb

Unfortunately there are no balance bombs.

Forget he said anything. Just keep a staff on hand, or nearby. You have bombs and weapons with charges for the spells you would 'need' for a puzzle, but to fully complete the entire game and solve all puzzles, including all optional ones, you will need access to the Rune menu. Don't need any magic, just the rune menu for 1 optional puzzle. So have a wand/staff/orb on hand or nearby to use for that one puzzle.
