Dexterity useless for archer rogue?

Post by bugnomore »

so dex gives better accuracy, but ranged weapons always hit anyway so pumping all that dex into an archer is worthless. the missile weapon skill even gets dexterity bonuses but all it does is give more evasion but in the back row he's not getting hit anyway

is this by design or an oversight?

Yeah, it appears Strength should be the primary stat for archer-based characters.

A bit of an odd design decision, but oh well.

In a pitched battle I sometimes need to put my archer rogue in to front line and he is carrying the next best discarded weapon of my main melee duo.
I like that he has pretty good accuracy and evasion given any equipment.

Helps him out as a joker card in battles where you think is glorious to sacrifice few of those precious bombs once the arrows have run out.

ye sure but then it would have been better to go assassination anyway and have him melee attack from the back in the first place
