Grimrock

Having finished the game, some nagging questions remain for me. Here's one for starters:

Do the clock weights that I encountered in the dungeons and in the sewers have any meaning? Or is it just scenery?

Just like to know

...just decoration...

Since I saw them in an early screenshot during the game's development I always expected them to be some kind of puzzle element or switch. I was a little disappointed to see they were only for decoration.

Of course, even the best game of 2014 is allowed some flaws here and there.
