Grimrock

Hi! i recently purchased your game Legend of Grimrock 2 through steam, and the game simply wont launch. all my drivers are up to date, and my puter meets the requirements (i73930k, gtx650ti, 16gb ram,lots of hdd, win7 64bit). the game starts to load, my cursor shows "busy" for about 10 seconds, then goes back to idle. no extra processes are created. can you help me please?

In the folder "My Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock 2", there is a file called "grimrock.log"
Can you post the contents of this file here?
It should give some clue as to what's going wrong.

yes, the compatibility test runs on my puter, it shows a screen that says "legend of grimrock 2 coming oct. 15" and has an island in the background, but that is all it does... if there is more to it then maybe my system isnt compatible? here is the copy/paste from that .log file as well:

and now its running... maybe there was a directx component missing that the compatibility test installed...
anyway, thanks for all your help!

Strange, the game comes with the same directx components as the compatibility test.
Maybe Steam wasn't running the installers correctly.
