Hint how to get really in to the level 8

I didn't find any hints for level 8 here so there is a guide to get started.
Go get that note from second iron gate. Go back to the level 7. Then compare the map and note. You should see the similarities in the left middle of the map. This should get you started.
How to get the key to the secret place:
One must examine the path of lightning carefully.

Could you perhaps explain in more detail exactly where this is? I'm playing oldschool mode and haven't really bothered mapping anything yet. I really don't feel like mapping level 7 which I've been through just to find the spot. Is it in the maze of shadows, after it, or in the beginning (or down a pit?) Cheers!

The place is between the room full of trapdoors and that "catch all the frostshards" room.
EDIT: Its more near to that frostshard room. There is a iron gate, torch in the maps described place.

I was wondering if you happened to remember where you got the key for the locked door, with the keyhole within the center, located within the "Lightning Conduit" section of level 8. I've looked around the area with no luck. Thanks.

If you're thinking about the Ogre-maze place, look around some more.
There's a teleporter taking you to a room with two keys + some cozy friends
