Grimrock

I have done everything I can I think. Cleared the archives, the bog, stormbreach, sleet island... I have the water essence and the air essence. From what I see, I have 3 places I need to go.

1. The Cemetery. I cannot open the door. The hint says look to the archives which I guess must be referring to the 3 notes you pickup in the archive. "First look to the frozen tundra the sun setting, then the desert and then follow the star north". Tried it, doesn't work. The frozen tundras is north according to a grave, don't know if I need to push it at nighttime or what. Don't know what direction the desert is in... but then must push it north again. I just don't know. I have tried many combinations... damn door won't budge!

2. The Pyramid. It needs a key of some sort to be placed in the alcove. I don't have it and it looks like the final area anyway so I probably can't do that yet.

3. The Crystal caves. The hint says to be like a snail. Has me beat. I tried waiting for ages on each part but that was just a longshot.

Thanks! I must have been pretty damn close on the cemetery gate. I think it was just the sun setting in the west that was a bit vague.

The serpents staff? Tell me you don't mean that useless wand I found in the bog by beating the trial? I threw it as far as I could and it is resting somewhere at the bottom of the bogs murky water. No idea where.

The crystal caves, I will go there first I think and try that again.

I guess so... oh well. It could have hinted in the description it was important!

edit nevermind about the desert I was being thick.

Right I have another question. In the NE part of the cemetery with the switches you have to push to make a bridge to the other side with the trapdoors...if you climb down into the pits there is a teleporter behind a shut gate. I can't find a switch to open it...

Those teleporters are only there as a way back up.

No there is a teleporter on its own just one block behind a gate. There is no access to it.

The gate opens once you made it to the other side of the pit. Anyway, it doesn't matter. You can only get back up with the teleporters. The point of the pit puzzle is to get across, not down.

ok thanks. It didn't open up when I got across though, which is why I thought it must be a secret. But ok.
