Grimrock

Is it just me or is the game way too dark compared to screenshots of the ipad game? I don't understand. I have my brightness set to maximum and using a torch or orb and I still can't see beyond a few tiles. The trailer of the ipad on the main LOG website page is way brighter than anything I every see. I am happy to put up with it, but its a bit painful not being able to see mobs across a room and plan for their attack. Other than this, I love the game and find it addictive and so much fun.

I've not played the IOS version, but I do not recall seeing past four tiles in Grimrock for the PC. I had an illusion in a mod that relied on this.

It depended on the lights and map layout; The party's torch throws a light of about four tiles, and the rest is dark; unless there is a light present further than four tiles.

Is it like that ~everywhere, and in bright rooms?

They may have changed [reduced?] the default distances for the lights in the IOS version.

grimrock is a dark game its normal to use torches to see and if your in a very large room you cant see all the way down it like most people said lit torches only seem to light up 4 tiles ahead

also make sure to turn auto adjust brightness in ur ipad settings off having a low battery and this enabled will make ur tablet very very dark when the battery is low

Here are some images from my ipad on level 7. I can only see 2 tiles effectively which is the same as on the PC i guess. It must be that It is more compact on the iPad so it feels darker.

That looks pretty normal to me; for PC.
