It just referred to reaching the bottom the final way - there is no way to climb down or fall without dying. The high up things in the last room are inaccessible, sorry! I just put them there for looks and intrigue, to give the impression this place is larger and more extensive/mysterious than the player realizes

This wall text does not refer to the deep pit. It is a hint how some secrets inside the Maze of Shadows are found.

Ah yes, I can't believe I forgot my own hint text!
That secret button right across from the text can be used again to make a round-about access to a certain secret box

I'm pretty confused at the moment. I ripped all 4 parts from the cube but I still can't do damage. I'm certain I took all four parts because I loaded an earlier save and took notes which parts I took. One small gear, check. One large gear, check. One ore, check. One odd little thingie, check. Is there more to it?

yes, there is more to it. Pay attention to the messages he shouts, and you have to go somewhere for an additional item

Hi,
My problem on Level 9:
I have a question for the "Pillared Hallway". I arrive at the end of the corridor, near Gold Key on my right, I take it, one step left again and for the final step, I go back at the start of the corridor, Why ?!
I did the scroll as wrote, twice, and I don't understand what's the probleme with the final step?
Can you help me ?

When you took the gold key before the final step you did NOT as the scroll wrote. That's why you got send back to start.

Thank you for your answer but I do it again, without take the Gold Key and same punition: Go back to the start! I really don't understand (easy with the original game).
For now I have an Ornate Key (?) and a Gold Key and I can't go in "Outer Sanctum".
Thanks again for help.
P.S/ It's OK now, I know what's wrong, I did it again with the Gold Key but it's a trap ! (I must take the Gold Key only when I finish the corridor)
